Forum Guidelines:
The two key guidelines we ask that you all follow:
- 1 -
Do not use the forum as a channel to promote products you have a financial or personal interest in - whether competing with ATS courses or not -- or to collect names for any purpose.
We are happy to inform our students of new and useful products, and have procedures in place for such promotion. If you would like to promote a product to ATS members, please contact me directly to discuss it.
We understand that determining what is considered "promotional" might be considered subjective by some.
Here are a few examples of unacceptable promotion:
- A straight ad or sales letter
- Embedded links in posts that lead to ads or sales letters
- Any type of language or offer whose purpose is to collect names (i.e., click here for a free report…)
- Affiliate links for products and conferences/seminars/workshops
- Signatures with ANY of the above
What is acceptable?
Sharing information that will benefit your fellow students (but that you do not have a financial or personal interest in). For example:
If you are attending a conference, and think other people may want to know about it … or you want to know if any ATS members are going too.
Or, if you found an interesting article on a website …
… read an exciting book …
… took a great course … or
… bought a product that really helped you …
… spread the word. Have open, constructive discussions about them.
If you need further clarification about a specific post you’d like to make, feel free to send it to the moderators for review before posting.
- 2 -
Follow simple forum etiquette. We ask that you are respectful and considerate to your fellow students. Enough said.
