Default Introduction

There is a wealth of information about networking available on the Internet, in print, and most importantly from your own experience. Please use this forum to share some tips and techniques you’ve heard, read, or used to make meaningful connections in the industry.

For instance I’ve learned that networking is less about passing out business cards to complete strangers than it is about remembering a few key details about a person and leaving a good impression of yourself, with them.

When you meet someone ask them questions about themselves and really listen to the answers. A good way to convey that you are listening/comprehending what a person is telling you is to ask them follow-up questions or repeat key pieces of information that they tell you.
